SEO for roofers

SEO for roofers, with the numbers shown

SEO for roofers is the work that puts a roofing company in front of homeowners on Google and Google Maps. That means the Business Profile, a page for each service and town, reviews and links from real local sites. Below is what it did for three of our roofing clients in 2026, with dates on every number.

Where these numbers come from: each client's live Bloomview report, built from Google Search Console and our weekly Google Maps grid scans, read on October 24, 2026. Client names are left off on purpose. Lead counts are left off too, because they mix paid ads with SEO.

How we work

What we do for roofing companies

Month to month, no long contract. You own the website, the rankings and everything we build. You work with the founder, Dylan Oliva.

  • Teardown. We go through your Google Business Profile, your website and the companies outranking you, and find why the phone isn't ringing.
  • Rank. Service and town pages built to rank, plus citations and backlinks that push you up the Map Pack.
  • Reviews. A steady review system, so you out-rank and out-trust the other companies in your area.
  • Convert. Speed-to-lead and automated follow-up, so calls and old leads turn into booked jobs.

Where we start

What we check first on a roofer's Google profile

Most homeowners pick a roofer from the map results before they ever open a website, so the Google Business Profile gets looked at first. These are the things we go through on day one for a roofing company.

  • The primary category reads Roofing contractor, and any extra category matches work you actually want, like gutters or siding.
  • The services list in the profile names every job you take: replacement, repair, storm damage, inspections.
  • Photos are your own crews on real roofs, added every week or two, never stock images.
  • The website button points at a roofing page for your main town rather than just the homepage.
  • Reviews mention the job and the town, so the review text matches what people type into Google.

None of this is glamorous. It is also where we found the quickest wins for the roofers above, before a single new page went live.

The website

Pages a roofing website needs

Google ranks pages, not companies. A roofer with one services page competes for one set of searches. A roofer with a page for each job and each town competes for all of them.

  • One page per service: roof replacement, roof repair, storm damage, gutters, siding.
  • One page per town you want work in, written with real local detail like the permit office, the housing stock and the weather that wears roofs out there.
  • A reviews page and a contact page that use the exact business name and phone number on the Google profile.
  • Answers to the questions homeowners ask before calling, written by you, with prices only if you want them public.

Every page gets linked from the pages around it, so Google can find it and understands which page is about which job.

Timing

How long it took for these three roofers

The Pennsylvania roofer started in July 2026. By mid October every one of its five tracked map searches held a top 3 spot across the grid, up from 89 percent of spots in late July. The New Jersey roofer started at the end of May, and its comparison runs to mid October, about four and a half months in. The Maryland numbers cover its first two and a half months.

Three clients is not a law of nature. It is enough to say that the first clear movement for these roofers showed up inside three months, and that we put a date on every number so you can check it.

Every month

What a month of roofing SEO looks like with us

After the first fixes, the work settles into a rhythm. Each week the roofer gets a report page showing calls, map spots and search numbers, every one with its source and dates. We scan the map results weekly for the searches that matter, post to the Google profile one to three times a week, and add new pages and articles every week. Links get built every month from a set budget, and the report shows where each one came from.

Questions

Questions owners ask

Is SEO worth it for a roofing company?

For the three roofers above it moved rankings and visits within a few months, and the dates sit next to each number. Whether it pays for you comes down to your average job and how many of the extra calls you close, which is what we work out on the first call.

How do I get my roofing company more calls from Google?

Start with the Google Business Profile and the map results, because that is where homeowners compare roofers before they call. Get the categories, services, photos and reviews right, point the profile at a strong service page, then build pages and links for the towns around you.

What is the best advertising for a roofing company?

There isn't one answer for every market. Our order is the Google Business Profile and the website first, since paid clicks land there too, then Local Services Ads or Search ads if you want calls sooner. Ads stop when the budget stops. Rankings keep working.
